We’re back! What a wonderful and memorable experience.
The word that colorectal cancer afflicts many age groups and to insist on screening will be out!
Manhattan was bustling with holiday shoppers. The Rockefeller Christmas tree was magnificent! Most importantly, Montel Williams is a truly caring man. He has the warmest eyes that reveal a soul of kindness and compassion.
I spent several hours shooting background/introduction footage at the studio on Tuesday. It’s interesting to see how a creative team makes things happen. The staff; producers, director, camera men, etc. were amazingly nice and accommodating.
A second reunion with my son, Jeff, was a gift in itself. We all enjoyed spending time together, as we had a free day on Wednesday.
I will not go into detail about the show. I will tell you that I am the first featured guest and then Dick, Eileen & Jeff join me on stage. After my interview, two other families that have lost loved ones to cancer return after having been on the show previously.
The show is titled ‘6 Months to Live’. It airs next Thursday, December 13th. Check your local listings.
Six months refers to a documentary being featured on the Biography Channel this month. http://www.biography.com/listings/episode_details.do?episodeid=253816&airingid=258360
No more details regarding the show itself…. I will tell you, there is a surprise at the end of my interview with Montel.
Get the word out! My hope is my appearance saves lives.

Hi Kathy, glad to hear that you had a terrific time in NYC. Born and raised in NY I can attest that there is no place like “the city” during the Christmas season. I wrote the date of the show along with the biography channel special on my calendar. You know just when you think things couldnt get any harder it DID for me, my husband was diagnosed with leukemia this week. We go for the “big” appointment with a hematology-oncologist this Monday for a plan of some sort. I have a CT scan myself (suspicious pressure)the following day, so please keep us both in your healing thoughts. I continue to uplift you in healing thoughts and prayers. Shalom, Lily
Oh….Lily. I am so sorry to hear of your most recent news. My prayers are most certainly with you and your husband.
I can’t figure it out on the site. Is there a way that I can contact you directly?
Hi stranger,
I am glad that your experience was a positive one. How are youe feeling? I am sure that you are glad to be home in your own bed. I will most certainly watch the show, though I normally do not. Keep in touch Hugs :) Patty
I couldn’t go because I cannot fly becasue of my blood clots. I cannot wait to see the show! Good for you for going.
Kathy,
I have to tell you, they lied to me. I am not real happy about it.
I talked to the producer 3 times on the phone, sent and received e-mails going back and forth with information they asked for. She e-mails me Friday that she will call Monday with the flight details, everything is a go and approved.
Then Monday I get an e-mail from the producer saying they just got out of a big meeting and Montel had to leave the country they wouldn’t be taping so it was being post-poned but she would definitly have me in when they re-schedule.
Then I see it didn’t- I am glad you got to go but damn I had everything ready, family all excited about it, I wish I knew what happened.
Oh Well, Donna
Hi Donna, I can’t explain why things happened the way they did. It was never mentioned to me that other people were scheduled or considered. Like you said, it was very quick moving and hectic. Hopefully they will keep you in their ‘future show’ file and all of the work you did will not be for naught.
Just watched the preview for Thursdays show. WOWzer! That looks intense. Looking forward to watching it. I don’t have cable but I will find someone to tape it for me.
